I realize that I don't post with any semblance of regularity any more, but not that much has really been happening anyway. I've been working at Goodwill and coming home. That's about as exciting as I expect my summer to get. However, the other day at work, I was feeling a bit down about my crap job and the fact that I could find nothing better even though I just graduated with a BA, when two of my co-workers revealed that they also have completely worthless degrees. So, those of you who are neck deep in debt with a degree that you feel is worthless, you are not alone. According to an article in Newsweek, it's the curse of our generation. Apparently most of us go to school, get in debt, get a degree, and can't find a job. I ddin't need them to tell me this though; I've been talking about the over-education and under-qualification of my generation for quite some time. They stole my brilliant observation! Ok, that's about all the brilliance I can muster for now. I'll try not to make is so long before I post again...however do you all go on with out me?

A lot has happened since I last posted. I've been to about a billion interviews, but I finally have a job! I start tomorrow morning at Goodwill in Harrisonburg. Its quite a relief to finally have a job, even if it is a sort of crappy one. I figure it's only for the summer anyway.
I finished my first book of the summer...I re-read "Interview with the Vampire." It has been a long time since I've read The Vampire Chronicles and they used to be a huge chunk of my geek factor, so I figured this summer would be a good chance to revisit them. And if its possible, I think I liked it more this time than I did the last time. I found myself noticing a lot of things that I hadn't noticed before. I've also compiled a working reading list for myself. I figured that if I'm not going to be in school, I need to take the initiative to start reading "the good stuff" on my own.
I also got to visit with Emily last week. Good times were definitely had. I miss that chick. We got together for lunch and chatted about life out of school and the like. She's in the Harrisonburg area these days, so hopefully I'll see her a few more times before the summer is over.

Wow...It has been a looooong time since I've posted. I
still have no job, but I do have an interview tomorrow. Hooray! I
had a job at Motel 6 as a housekeeper, but it sucked so much that I decided not to go back. Somehow cleaning other people's drain hair does nothing for me. And the pay was crappy.
It is insanely hot here in Virginia and I'm trying to get used the heat and humidity. This pampered Maryland girl can't handle this hardcore weather...which is why I'm moving to Mississippi where it is 10 degrees hotter and even more humid.
Justin and I went up to Maryland this weekend and everyone was complaining about the scorching 80 degree weather. I just laughed.
Our little kitty has gotten big and even cuter if that's possible. She looks like Puss in Boots from Shrek with her giant blue eyes. So cute.
Well, Guess that's all for now. I'll try to post more regularly.
