I have a job!!!...nevermind that I'm a cashieer at a convenience store/gas station. The important thing is that I am employed. Unfortunately, I have to be at work at 6 o'clock tomorrow MORNING...ugh! I am
not a morning person. That said, I am still looking for a better job. Something more nine to five...and a little more office oriented. Granted, office work is boring, but at least it doesn't require you to be up at the butt crack of dawn. I will definitely be going to Grad school, since apparently you need a masters degree to do anything in the field of English. Bah on the GRE though. Scary stuff...
We're finally unpacked (for the most part). That was a major undertaking. The only thing left to do is decorate our walls. We're settling in quite nicely. We went to a United Methodist Church this morning and everyone there seemed friendly, so we'll probably go back. It would be great to find a church home for our time here. I'd also like to meet some of our neighbors, but I think we're the only people living in our section of the complex. The couple who lived above us moved out the day after we moved in. We have a couple of other "neighbors" who live in the other section of the building, but even that isn't full. Perhaps we'll go introduce ourselves some evening...
Finally, I have a bruise the size of a half dollar on my calf....and I have no clue where it came from. I hope it goes away soon, because I refuse to wear shorts or skirts or anything that shows my calf until its gone, and it is HOT as balls down here. Pants suck. At any rate, this one is name worthy. Any suggestions?
I am a very bad little blogger, but the fact of the matter is, that I've been so busy I haven't had time to turn around twice. Let alone report on all of the fascinating events of my life for my adoring public. At any rate, I'm in Mississippi with Justin now. We got married August 5th and moved into our apartment here on campus August 16th. Which puts me, once again, out of employment and in search of a new job. Bah on job searches. They're exhausting and they require attire other than sweat pants. The real world blows major chunks. I'm seriously considering Grad school in the very very near future (like next semester)....
Married life is pretty cool. At least I'm guaranteed one good friend no matter where we move...For all of its scariness of being "independent" adults, marriage does provide a sense of security as well. That i do dig.
Since we have reliable internet here, I'll probably be posting much more often. But, for now I must be off to search the Help Wanted ads....
