Today was exactly like all of my days last week. I worked, then I worked over-time (again), came home, had dinner, jogged, blogged, etc. But I also talked to Mary Chris, which was nice, since I haven't heard from her in quite a while. Its always great to do a little catching up. I'm looking forward to my vacation time (Thursday is my last day of work before my little Christmas break - Hooray). Well, I guess that's all for now....

Well, we did go shopping, but aside from the Christmas present that Justin bought me, we did no Christmas shopping...Should I feel guilty about that?...Eh, Wal-Mart rocks, they won't let me down when I do my last minute shopping. I think we're going to jog to Faulkner's house this evening, which should be a good few miles. I hope i can endure it. But that's after we take a nice long nap with full bellies. *Sigh* nothing beats a nap with a full tummy....

Today Justin and I are going Christmas shopping. I'm very excited. We have little 4 foot table top tree set up in our living room. Its so cute and tiny (and it's pre-lit which helps because I wouldn't have the time or patience to actually put "real" lights on it). Wal-Mart rocks! Tonight after we get home we'll wrap our presents, decorate the tree and bask in the glory of Christmas.
*sigh* as cliche as it sounds, I really do love this time of the year...

It's Friday! And it is a welcome relief after having worked over all, but one night this week...now, its time for a long weekend of doing absolutely nothing.

I really don't have anything else to say...

Last night I jogged...yes, that's right I jogged. It's raining tonight, and pretty hard too, so I won't be doing it again tonight, but I'd like to start a little work out regimine. The winter weather at night here is good for jogging. It's cold, so I don't get too sweaty, but not so cold that the sweat freezes to me. That would be gross.

Tonight Justin and I tried to go to a Christmas service (I took off work early and everything), but either the directions were bad, or they moved the church, so we drove around on back roads for about an hour, before coming home without ever having sung a Christmas carol. I can't say that I'm not a little dissappointed. I do love Christmas, and this new church we found (which I have yet to tell everyone about) is quite nice. It's much smaller than the church we had been attending in downtown Oxford (maybe 30 people on a Sunday morning). It reminds us both of Justin's church back home in Virgingia. Everyone is incredibly friendly and sweet. We both dig it immensly, which is why I'm very dissappointed right now...poo...

Although it's a bit late, I thought I would share the wonder that was my birthday this year. Although there was no "home made" icecream cake with chocolate syrup writing on it this year, I did manage to have quite a lovely day...

Justin greeted me after work with a huge boquet of carnations, he fussed and made over me all day long, and we went to dinner at one of the cutest little diners in Oxford. This is all in addition to my fabulous trip to Birmingham to meet Anne Rice(scroll down if you missed it).

At any rate, I've been working over almost evernight for the past couple of weeks and the apartment is once again "an uphauling dumpheap, with the most discaceful assortment of rubbish imaginable," (I watched "How the Grinch Stole Christma" last night with my Justin) so I'm off to spend a fun-filled day cleaning and such

Well, I had a nice post all prepared. A glorious little reflection on the magical evening that I spent with Emily, Chad and Justin, but I had more to add and didn't post it and the window got closed. I'll try to reconstruct as best I can...

I didn't actually get to visit with any of my old profs, but Emily and I did get together with our boys in toe, and we spent a glorious evening together. We met a Ruby Tuesday's and had a nice little dinner, and I saw the first snow of the season. It was magical; I made Justin walk outside with me to stand under the huge white flakes as they fell. *sigh* It brought me back to last year in B5, when the Kristin, Jenn, Stephy and I all rushed outside to bask in the first snow. But I digress. We parted after dinner, only to get home and realize that Emily called to invite us back to Chad's room for a visit. Justin and I headed back out toward Bridgewater. It was so strange to be back on campus. I could see our little apartment, so sad and dark. I wanted desperately to drop in for a quick visit, but alas those times are no more. We headed to Heritage where we had a good visit in Chad's room. And although I had never been in the boy's dorm rooms in my entire career at BC, it was strangely comforting to be within the walls of my wonderful little college. (even if it was in the form of a stinky boy dorm).

Thanksgiving was also great. I spent half of Thanksgiving Day with Justin and his family and the other half with mine. As always, his family made me feel welcome and loved. Rea (Justin's aunt) even moved Thanksgiving dinner up so that I could go to both dinners. The roads up in the Oakland area were bad (as always) so Justin and his dad drove me up to my house so that I wouldn't have to brave the arctic alone. I had a nice little visit with my family. Steph and I went to see Rent, which I thought was pretty good. And on Friday, dad, mom, steph and I went on a little shopping sprea in Morgantown for my Birthday. All in all, quite a fulfilling little visit home.
