Over a month...wow, that's an all time low, even for me.
Justin's family came down to visit last weekend. We went to Memphis and New Orleans. I had never been to Louisiana before, so I was very excited about going to a new state...and New Orleans is the setting for many a Anne Rice novel. We didn't spend much time in NO because we went straight to Bourbon Street first and didn't think to check out the rest of the French Quarters. We didn't want to stick around Bourbon Street for too long what with all the strip clubs and such (which wouldn't have been a problem, except that Justin's grandma was with us). I can't wait to go back. I think Justin and I are going to go down and visit for our one year anniversary. Good times. The French Quarter (what little we saw of it) was very cool and it didn't look like it had been damaged at all. After we left NO, we drove down the coast of Mississippi, and the devastation there was unbelievable. Some of the coast towns were completely leveled. There was Nothing there at all. It made me want to cry. And it's been about 7 months, I sudder to think what it would have looked like right after the storm. So sad...
We had a good visit with Justin's family and this week at work has been pretty uneventful, so I guess that's all for now.
