It has been the month from hell. I'm exhausted, but I thought I'd make a quick post because I know I've been neglecting my blog lately. I've barely had time to think, let alone sit down and write about anything. We've found a car here in Mississippi so we won't have to drive to VA to look for one. The used car market in MS is crappy to say the least. Everything is old and overpriced with high mileage or new and way overpriced. We found a '90 Toyota Corolla. It's kind of old, but it has low mileage and its affordable. Which is another one of the problems down here. No one wants to finance a car for more than 18 months, so even a cheap car has insanely high monthly payments. But we have a car, so I don't know why I'm rambling about that.
Anyway, I'm tired, and not thinking coherently at all, so I think I should just post about the rest of our adventures these last couple of weeks later.

Just a quick post before work. I've been insanely busy with getting insurance matter straightened out the last few days. We have our rental car and someone has been assigned to go assess our car for damage and decide what we should be awarded for it (or decide how much to give us for repairs, but I seriously doubt that will be the case). So, now we have to find a new car. I don't like feeling rushed about it, but after they award us the insurance money, we no longer have the rental car, so we're working in a pretty tight time frame. We have a good idea of what we want, but we haven't been able to find a used car lot in Oxford, so it looks like we'll have to drive somewhere else. And it'll have to be a Saturday affair. Welp, off to work...

For those of you who wonder where I've been lately, I've been too busy to post the last couple of days. I've been busy getting into accidents with people who don't have insurance, totaling my car, calling insurance companies, getting a rental car, going to the hospital and other exciting events.
Sunday, on the way to church, I breaked and signaled to turn into the church parking lot and the guy behing me smacked into the rear end of my car. We spun around, flipped over and crashed onto the side of the road. Justin wasn't wearing his seat belt, so we're quite fortunate that neither of us were injured. We spent Sunday evening in the ER getting checked out for injuries. Monday, I spent the ENTIRE day on the phone to my insurance agent and various other people. I didn't find out until Monday that the other driver was uninsured. I was so pissed. And if that isn't bad enough, the bastard lied to the police officer at the scene of the accident so that he wouldn't get ticketed. Even his lame insurance agent showed up and lied for him about it, so he didn't get ticketed for anything. When I found out I was livid. I'm still pissed. Perhaps I should write about something else.
Today was a lot better than yesterday. We got our rental car today, so I got Justin some pain pills, as he's still feeling a little banged up. We also drove over to the towing impound to get the rest of our stuff our of the car. It's in pretty bad shape. I didn't really get a good look at it on Suday because I was too shaken up, but I took a good look at it today. The front glass has a big crack in it from where Justin hit his head before bouncing into the back seat. Neither of the doors on the driver's side (which is the side we landed on) will open. The back window is shattered out. The bumper is bent, the side is dented, oh and the frame is bent. I'm reasonably sure that its totaled. The appraiser will be by tomorrow to look at it and estimate how much money we are supposed to get for it. Since he didn't have insurance, ours has to give us the money and take care of the medical bills and the rental car and all the other expenses that we've incurred throughout this ordeal. Then, they'll have to sue him for their expenses. I'm just glad we're covered.
I didn't get to go to work monday or tuesday, so tomorrow will be my first day back. *Sigh* What a weekend.

Its been a while since I've written about anything of worth. My last couple of posts have been crap posts, so where to begin?...
Last week (wed i think) I got bitten on the foot by and ant while I was taking a shower. It hurt, but I didn't figure it was a big deal. By Friday, my foot was red, itchy, very swollen and starting to burise. Naturally I freaked out just a little bit. So for most of the weekend, I kept ice on it and tried to keep it elevated. By Saturday evening it was starting to look sort of normal again, so Justin and I headed up to Memphis for the evening. We stopped at Gus' Chicken place (which is so famous its been on the food network) and had some supper. Justin was in heaven. It was a little spicy, but even I had to admit it was some darn tasy chicken. Then we headed over to Beal Street and poked around for a bit before heading into a dance club. There was no one in there so we sat and had a few drinks and waited for things to pick up. Justin and I haven't been dancing since Halloween of 2004, so I was really excited to get out and shake my groove thing. After a few hours of dancing and when Justin was quite drunk, we decided it was time to drive home. We stopped at Waffel House on the way back for a late night/early morning snack. Yum.
We spent most of Sunday recuperating from Saturday night (we didnt get in until after 5 and the birds were singing).
And of course today is Monday, and Monday's always suck. However, I'm looking into Trinity College in Dublin. I don't know if I'll be able to get in, but how cool would that be? I figure applying to grad school isn't complicated enough, so I thought I'd try it somewhere a little more challenging. I'll have to get a student visa, and who knows about financial aid, and a whole host of other things. But it would be quite exciting.
