Happy Easter!
Today, I taught my sunday school class and enjoyed a lovely family day with Justin and his mom, dad, and sister. We had an absolutely wonderful Sunday dinner and then went to the grove, where I painted outside for the first time ever. It was fun, but the wind does pose some problems; blowing my stirofoam plate (which is my ghetto pallette) and drying the paint much more quickly than I'm used to. I figured that since I was in the grove, I would paint the grove. It turned out o.k., but I'm not completely happy with it. It looks kind of "cartoony", so I'm thinking I'll have to go back in and do some detail work and maybe add a few more trees (three hardly constitute a grove). We'll see. I hope everyone else had as fabulous an Easter as I did today.
And, I got a PROMOTION!!! I'm so excited. I interviewed for the training coordinator position on Tuesday, and Brittany (my boss) called me on Friday (I took the day off to spend with the in-laws) to tell me that she would like to offer the position to me. I accepted, and I'll start training for it this week. I can't wait. I don't think I've ever been this excited about going to
work...ever.
